Our Editorial Principles
Evidence-Based Content
Every claim in our articles is grounded in peer-reviewed scientific research, clinical studies, or established nutritional science. We cite our sources transparently and link to primary research whenever possible. Our writers synthesize complex studies into accessible language without distorting findings.
Conflict of Interest Disclosure
We disclose all financial, professional, or personal relationships that could influence our editorial content. If we recommend a product or service, we clearly state whether we have any financial interest. Our writers and editors sign annual conflict-of-interest declarations.
Rigorous Fact-Checking
Before publication, every article undergoes independent fact-checking by a dedicated team. We verify statistics, quotes, study findings, and expert credentials. Our fact-checkers have access to academic databases and consult with subject-matter experts to confirm accuracy.
Editorial Independence
Our editorial decisions are made independently of advertising, business partnerships, or external pressure. Advertisers have no influence over our content. Our editorial board maintains final authority over all published material, ensuring our readers' interests come first.
Balanced and Nuanced Reporting
We present multiple viewpoints on controversial topics and acknowledge when scientific consensus is evolving. We avoid oversimplification of complex health subjects and clearly distinguish between established facts, emerging research, and opinion. We never exaggerate the strength of evidence.
Clear Author Credentials
We clearly disclose the professional background, qualifications, and expertise of every author. Readers know whether an article is written by a registered dietitian, neuroscientist, journalist, or wellness coach. We do not misrepresent credentials or present opinion as expert authority.
Our Editorial Team
Our editorial board comprises experienced health journalists, registered nutrition professionals, and neuroscience experts. They oversee fact-checking, guide editorial direction, and ensure every article meets our standards.

Our Fact-Checking Process
Source Verification
Our team identifies all factual claims in an article—statistics, study results, expert quotes, and specific health information. We verify each claim against original sources, including peer-reviewed journals, government health agencies, and professional organizations. We cross-reference multiple sources whenever possible.
Expert Consultation
For specialized topics, we consult with independent subject-matter experts who did not write the article. These experts review the accuracy of complex scientific claims and ensure our interpretation of studies is sound. Their feedback is documented and filed with the article.
Editorial Review
Our editors read the fact-checker's report and the article together, ensuring corrections are implemented clearly and that any changes maintain the article's integrity. The editorial team approves all articles before publication and signs off on the fact-checking process.
Publication & Archives
Once published, articles are monitored for accuracy. If new research emerges that contradicts or updates information in a published article, we revise the content and document the update. All fact-checking reports and revision logs are retained in our archives for transparency.
Corrections & Updates Policy
How We Handle Errors
If we discover a factual error—whether a misquoted statistic, outdated information, or an inaccurate claim—we correct it immediately. The correction is prominently displayed at the top or within the article, clearly explaining what was changed and why. We do not silently edit articles without acknowledgment.
Readers who identify potential errors can report them to our editorial team at [email protected]. We investigate all reports thoroughly and respond to the reader within two weeks.
Updates for New Research
When new scientific findings challenge or supersede information in a published article, we update the content to reflect current evidence. Major updates receive a timestamped note explaining what changed and linking to the new research. This ensures readers access the latest information without losing the article's original context.
Transparency in Revisions
Minor edits (grammar, clarifications, formatting) are made without fanfare. Substantive corrections or updates—those that change the article's meaning or advice—are logged in a "Revision History" section visible to readers. This log includes the date, nature of the change, and reason for the update.
Retraction Policy
In rare cases where an article contains multiple significant errors or misrepresentations that cannot be adequately corrected, we may retract the article entirely. A retraction notice is published in its place, explaining the reason and directing readers to related accurate content. We maintain an archive of retractions for transparency.
Writer Guidelines & Qualifications
We employ writers with diverse backgrounds—registered dietitians, neuroscientists, health journalists, and wellness coaches. Each writer undergoes a vetting process to confirm their expertise and publishing history. New writers receive comprehensive editorial training on our standards before their first publication.
